Return the Illés Relief Model to Geneva (Al Jazeera 20 August 2012)

The Illés Relief Model of Jerusalem in 1873 was purchased in Geneva in 1878 and is the legal property of the Maison de la Réformation SA.  For the past thirty years it has been on loan at the Tower of David Museum, where it is inaccessible to the majority of Palestinians and their young scholars.

To impede access violates the right to culture under international human rights law, and is inconsistent with Swiss foreign policy priorities: the respect, reinforcement and promotion of international humanitarian law, especially the Fourth Geneva Convention.

ARCH supports the return of the Illés Relief to Geneva before the next automatic renewal of the loan in 2014.
