Founded in 2010 in Geneva, Switzerland, by a small group of academics, the Alliance to Restore Cultural Heritage in Jerusalem (ARCH) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to the protection, documentation, and revitalization of vulnerable cultural heritage in Jerusalem.
ARCH’s logo symbolizes the arches we extend towards alliance with individuals and organizations that share our aim: to help safeguard Jerusalem’s irreplaceable heritage for future generations.

Our Mission
Jerusalem’s cultural heritage is under accelerating threat — from political conflict, urban development, restricted access, and the deterioration of fragile historical materials. ARCH responds to these challenges through digital innovation, international collaboration, and community-led practice.
We believe that cultural heritage belongs to all communities connected to Jerusalem and that its preservation is a matter of universal concern.
What We Do
- Develop immersive digital replicas and interactive archives of historically significant sites and artefacts
- Train the next generation of Palestinian cultural heritage professionals in cutting-edge digital documentation tools
- Report on the illicit trafficking of cultural goods
- Build partnerships with universities, museums, archives, and cultural centers across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond
